What devices can you help set up?

We help set up many new Windows computers, Macs, iPhones, iPads, Android phones, tablets, and common accessories. Setup can include Wi-Fi, updates, basic settings, approved accounts and apps, accessories, testing, and instruction. Phone activation or warranty steps may require the carrier, retailer, or device maker.

Can you move information from my old device?

Accepted Answer

When possible, we can help move selected contacts, photos, documents, bookmarks, email, calendars, and other information from a working old device or accessible cloud account. Results depend on the devices, storage, account access, internet speed, and available time, so a complete transfer cannot be guaranteed.

Can you connect accounts and make the device easier to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can connect approved accounts, install official apps, review recovery and sign-in options, and adjust text size, display, sound, touch, notifications, voice features, and other available accessibility settings.

What if the device or account is locked?

Accepted Answer

We can help follow the official recovery steps when you have the required ownership and account information. We cannot bypass device locks, account security, or identity checks. Recovery may require the device maker, carrier, retailer, or account provider.

Who should be present, and what should I have ready?

Accepted Answer

The customer or an authorized helper should be present. Please have the new device, charger, accessories, home Wi-Fi, phone, primary email access, and any old device involved. You enter your own passwords and verification codes and approve every account, app, purchase, transfer, and change.

Will you erase, trade in, recycle, or dispose of my old device?

Accepted Answer

Not without separate approval. We first test the new device with you and confirm that important accounts, apps, and selected information are working. You decide what happens to the old device.

Does New Device Setup include hardware repair or warranty service?

Accepted Answer

No. We set up software, accounts, apps, settings, accessories, and supported transfers, but we do not repair broken screens, batteries, liquid damage, or parts inside a device. We will explain when a retailer, carrier, device maker, or repair provider is the better next step.

How long will setup take, and how are pricing and additional costs handled?

Accepted Answer

Time depends on the device, updates, internet speed, accounts, apps, amount of information being moved, and condition of the old device. We provide a quote before the visit. Additional time, purchases, subscriptions, equipment, or follow-up work require your approval.
